Kurator Integration with IFTTT
Transcript

In this presentation, we’ll go over the steps to connect your Curator application to IFTTT. IFTTT stands for "If This Then That," and it allows you to connect services like YouTube, Pocket, and more to your Curator app, enabling you to automatically add content from various sources directly into Kurator. Let’s take a look at how it works.
The first step is to create an account on IFTTT and log in. You can use a free account. I'll go ahead and log into mine. Once you're logged in, search for "Kurator."

You'll see that we have four applets available: RSS Feed to Kurator, YouTube, Feedly, and Pocket.
For Feedly, you’ll need a paid account. This integration allows you to like any post on Feedly, which is a news aggregator, and it will automatically add that post to Kurator.
You can access your Feedly account on mobile devices and add content from curate content from your phone directly to Kurator.
The YouTube integration connects your YouTube channel to Kurator. With this, every time you like a YouTube video on any device, it will be automatically added to your Kurator app.
Pocket works similarly. It's a great tool for saving content from mobile devices or other sources that aren't YouTube. By using the Pocket app, you can easily add content to Kurator, by saving it to your Pocket app.
Since Kurator is your curation and bookmarking tool, being able to add content from any device using IFTTT extends the use of Kurator on your mobile apps.

To set up any of these applets, follow a few simple steps. Click on the applet, connect it, and complete the required steps to link your Curator account.
Once connected, Kurator will create a folder where it automatically stores the imported content. For example, here are my Feedly, Pocket and Youtube Collection folders that aggregate content from my IFTTT services.

After the content is added to Kurator, you can quickly add your own comments or transcriptions. If you want to publish it on KChat, your website, or use it for personal research, you can do that as well.
IFTTT is a powerful automation tool that can greatly enhance your experience with Kurator.
