KChat · A website chatbot built on your own research

The chatbot that cites its sources, because a person chose them.

KChat answers your visitors from a knowledge base you built in Kurator: articles, PDFs, video transcripts and notes you have already checked. Its answers come with links back to the sources, so anyone can verify them.

Free plan: one chatbot, 20 responses. Sign in with your Kurator ID.

KChat · answering from a Kurator collection
A visitor asks

How do I get my YouTube videos into KChat?

Answered from 3 sources in your collection

Import the channel into a Kurator folder, then generate a transcript for each video with your transcription prompt.

Sync that folder to KChat. From then on it answers from the transcripts and links each answer back to the video it came from.

The problem

A chatbot is only as good as what it was fed.

Noisy input

Most chatbot builders fill their knowledge base by crawling your site or taking bulk uploads. Navigation menus, cookie banners and out-of-date pages go in alongside the good material.

Missing sources

Crawlers get turned away by logins, paywalls and video platforms. The research you trust most is often exactly what never makes it in.

No receipts

When an answer arrives without a source, nobody can tell a correct one from a confident guess. Least of all the visitor who asked.

The model is rarely the problem. The input is. KChat changes the input.

How it works

You curate once. KChat answers from it.

KChat doesn’t crawl anything. It answers only from the Kurator collection you connect, and shows the sources it used.

1. Curate
You, in Kurator

Choose what your chatbot is allowed to know.

Save articles, PDFs, YouTube videos and AI conversations in Kurator as you work. Kurator reads each page in your own browser, logged in and fully rendered, and your prompts describe and tag it as it’s saved.

  • Video transcripts with timestamps, generated by your own prompt
  • Descriptions and tags written at the moment you save
  • Sources crawlers can’t reach, captured from the tab you already have open
2. Connect
Once, in your dashboard

Point KChat at a collection.

Add the collection’s sync link in your KChat dashboard and it becomes KChat’s knowledge base. When the collection grows, retrain KChat so it knows the new material. You decide which collections KChat can see, and you can remove any of them whenever you like.

  • Choose the model KChat answers with, and write custom prompts for how it responds
  • Set where source links go when a visitor clicks one
  • Style the chat window and write its opening message
3. Answer
Your visitors

Answers that link back to where they came from.

KChat answers from your collection and lists the sources it drew on. Send those links to your KBucket page and every answer pulls visitors further into your own site, rather than off to YouTube or a search engine.

KBucket is where KChat’s source links land. See ours running here.

Why it’s different

Answers you can check, not just trust.

Most chatbot builders compete on how fast you can launch. KChat competes on whether the answer is right, and on showing you why.

Scraped Menus, footers and cookie notices mixed into the index
Blocked Paywalled, logged-in and video sources left out
Unsourced Confident answers with nothing to check them against
Cited Answers drawn only from sources you chose, with links to each

In production · The AI Marketers Guild

Curation sounds slow. In practice it takes a minute.

The obvious worry is that choosing sources by hand can’t keep up. The AI Marketers Guild publishes every weekly session through Kurator. After each one, a person adds the video to a folder and runs a transcription prompt. That is the whole manual step.

The same minute produces a published page for the session and the knowledge base KChat answers members from.

Who it’s for

Built for people whose answers have to be right.

Analysts and researchers

Turn a research archive into something colleagues and clients can question directly, with the sources behind every answer. Reports, briefs, market research, competitive files

Creators and educators

Let your audience ask your back catalogue anything. Video transcripts become answers that point to the exact lesson or episode. Courses, YouTube channels, podcasts, newsletters

Marketers and B2B support

Answer prospects and customers from documentation you have approved, not from whatever a crawler happened to find. Product docs, tutorials, sales material, FAQs

Probably not you, if…

You need a chat bubble live in five minutes, run high-volume support where an occasional wrong answer is acceptable, or need the bot to take actions such as checkout or booking. A general-purpose chatbot builder will suit you better. Better to say so here than after you’ve paid.

In your dashboard

What you get.

Knowledge base Kurator sync

Connect a Kurator collection with its sync link. That collection is everything KChat knows, and nothing more.

Chatbot builder No code

Pick the model, write custom prompts, and set the opening message, where source links send people and how the window looks. No programming needed.

Analytics and chat logs Insight

Track responses and retrains against your plan, and read what people actually ask. The questions show you what’s missing from your knowledge base, and what to curate or write next.

Leads list Capture

Keep the leads your chatbot collects in one list, ready to follow up.

Plans

Start free. Upgrade when it’s answering real questions.

Every plan includes custom prompts, your choice of model, analytics with chat logs, and a leads list. Plans differ by how many chatbots you run, how many answers they give, and how often you retrain them.

Questions

Before you ask KChat.

How is KChat different from other website chatbot builders?

Most builders fill their knowledge base by crawling your site or taking bulk uploads, then answer from whatever went in. KChat answers only from a Kurator collection a person curated, and it shows the sources behind each answer. Setup takes longer. The answers are ones you can check.

Can KChat answer questions from YouTube videos?

Yes. Import the videos into Kurator, generate transcripts with a prompt, and connect the folder. KChat answers from the transcripts and links back to the video.

Will it make things up?

Any AI model can misread a source, so we won’t promise it never happens. What KChat does is keep the input clean and show its sources, which makes a wrong answer easy to spot and trace back.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan gives you one chatbot, 20 responses and 2 retrains, with the same features as the paid plans.

Do I need Kurator?

Yes. KChat’s knowledge base is a Kurator collection, and that’s where the curation happens. You sign in to KChat with the same Kurator ID, and Kurator is free to start.

What happens to the content I connect?

You choose which collections KChat can see, and you can remove any of them at any time. Everything else in your Kurator account stays private.

Do I need to write code?

No. Connecting a knowledge base, building the chatbot and putting it on your site need no programming.

Start with what you already know.
