Privacy Policy

Optimal Access recognizes the importance of privacy. The privacy policies here apply to our software products, Kurator and KBucket as well as information we collect on our website.

We do not keep track of users' surfing history, except for the sites you add to our servers located in the United States. The company's mission is to provide a better online experience for consumers.

Chrome Warning Explained

When you first install Kurator, you receive this warning:

The warning is standard and based on the features implemented to make Kurator work. Here is what they mean.

Read and change all your data on all websites

When you click on the Kurator button to save a page, Kurator scrapes information off the page and lets you modify the information you scraped. We are not changing the information on the page, but empowering you to change the information about the links you want to save.

Read and change your bookmarks

Each link you curate, is in essence a bookmark to the page. Kurator lets you read and change your bookmarks.

Manage your downloads

The information we scrape off the pages you saved is downloaded to your "Kurator Bookmark Manager". The download feature we use, is for this purpose.

  • When you bookmark, comment, and save your posts, the URL and the associated information recorded via the Kurator popup you submit will be saved on our servers.

Use

  • The log information is mainly used for usage analysis in Google Analytics, such as how many users access X feature etc.
  • We may use log information and the bookmark information for auditing, research, and analysis to operate and improve our technologies and services.
  • If information is used in any way other than indicated above, it will be in the aggregated form, and with all personal identifications removed.
