How to Create Citation Links with Kurator Boost Your Content Sharing Game Instantly
Transcript
In this video, we’re diving deep into how Kurator helps you share smarter — not harder.
Kurator’s Citation Feature is a total game-changer for anyone who curates content, builds newsletters, or shares links across email, blogs, or social channels.
(00:03) Kurator offers a citation feature for sharing links. Citations have a very specific format that includes the author, the date, the title of the post you're sharing, the publisher, URL, and an introduction. In curator, we limit the introduction to 500 characters. Now, some of the reasons why you may want to use the citation feature in Kurator is to link to share links via your newsletter.
(00:42) Let's say you've curated some news articles and you want to pick and choose what you want to put into your newsletter. Sharing links via emails. Maybe you have a set of resources that you often share with your colleagues or your customers and this link makes it very easy for you to quickly share that information without having to retype everything.
(01:11) sharing news and information that you have curated through your social channels or using the citation links in your blog post and research papers. Now, let's take a look to see how this works in Kurator. Every post in Kurator has a citation link. You can see them when you hover over the image and it's a double quote icon on the image.
(01:45) So to get a citation link, I simply click on this icon in the image of the post and it's going to copy the citation link to the clipboard. Now I can go over and paste it. As an example, I'm going to go over to my notion and paste it here. So you can see how it works. You can see this is a post by Noam Chomsky. This is the date of the post and uh this is the title of the post and then you have the URL and then after the URL we have the quick 500 character summary.
(02:34) Now, obviously, I have a little bit more content in here and my two beginning paragraphs go o a little bit over 500 characters. So, you can edit that to make sure that it works for you. But this is how the citation link works. And you can very quickly copy links from curator to the types of applications that we showed you in the previous slides.
