KBucket Set Social Tab setup
Transcript
(00:03) The Set Social tab in the KBucket WordPress plugin lets you add a channel description and set a default image for each channel.
If a post on your KBucket page is missing a thumbnail, KBucket automatically uses the channel’s default image, set under the set social tab, to keep pages consistent and professional.
You can also hide specific channels from the main KBucket page while keeping their content available through carousels and sliders embedded elsewhere on your WordPress site.
(00:52) On the page, the channel description updates as you switch channels. For example, the Philosophy channel shows its own description. If you hide the Technology channel in KBucket and save, a quick refresh removes that channel from the main page.
However, posts from Technology remain available via widgets. Carousels and sliders can still pull items from the hidden channel and be embedded on landing pages, blog posts, or your homepage.
(01:35) Example: a post in the History channel does not include an image. KBucket applies the History channel’s default image under the "Set Social Tab" so the card looks complete and on‑brand.
This improves user experience, click‑through rates, and on‑page SEO. Consistent thumbnails, clear channel descriptions, and selective channel visibility also support local GEO relevance by surfacing content most useful to visitors in a specific city or region.
